Press Work

At Gen-Fab we are experts in all aspects of metal press work with 30 years of experience providing all industry sectors with our services.

Press work is an industrial manufacturing process where sheet metal is manipulated and shaped by press machinery. Sheet metal is cut by a die manually or automatically and it is created into a particular component during this process. Pressing can be used to manufacture a wide range of products from aeroplane components to cutlery and jewellery.

We are experienced working with ferrous and non-ferrous metals and we have provided our press work services for various applications, including domestic and industrial areas.

We also have the infrastructure in place to handle large batches of metal pressing and we can accommodate simple runs that require single tools and complex runs that require progressive tools. While all jobs are unique and will have different lead times, we aim to turnaround jobs within 2-3 days of taking them on. We can achieve this lead time even with large jobs as some of our equipment has full automation allowing 24/7 operation. As such, we can also offer you a 24-hour turnaround time on certain jobs.
